Creatinine
clearance
In
pediatrics, it is generally corrected to a body surface
area of 1.73 m2 (standard body surface area of an adult).
The
formula for the calculation is as below. The BSA here is calculated
from the height and weight with the formula of DuBois and
DuBois.

Reference
range in our laboratory of an "uncorrected"
creatinine clearance for an adult male is 90-139 mL/minute,
and for an adult female is 80-125 mL/minute. Many medications
must be adjusted for renal impairment when the CrCl falls
below 50 mL/min.
