Technique allowing continuous hemodialysis and/or hemofiltration,
using pump-assisted blood circulation.
all Multiflow kits (except M60S kit) ,
Prisma M60 / M100 sets and Miniflow 10 can be used to perform the following
therapies:
|
|

SCUF (Slow continuous
ultrafiltration) Continuous process of fluid removal across
a semipermeable membrane provides patient fluid removal by ultrafiltration
only. Usually performed at ultrafiltration rates lower than 8 ml/min.
No substitution fluid is used. |
|
|

CVVH (Continuous venovenous hemofiltration) Continuous hemofiltration with
the aid of a blood pump provides solute removal by convection. It offers
high volume ultrafiltration using replacement fluid which can be
administered pre-filter or post-filter. The pump guarantees adequate blood
flow to maintain required UF rates. Venous blood access is usually
femoral, jugular or subclavian using a double lumen
cannula. |
|
|

CVVHD (Continuous venovenous
hemodialysis) Continuous hemodialysis with the aid of a
blood pump and using venous access. It provides solute removal by
diffusion. Dialysate is pumped in counter flow to the
blood.
|
|
CVVHDF (Continuous venovenous
hemodiafiltration) Continuous hemodiafiltration with the aid
of a blood pump provides solute removal by diffusion and convection
simultaneously. It offers high volume ultrafiltration using replacement
fluid which can be administered pre-filter or post-filter. Simultaneously,
dialysate is pumped in counter flow to blood.
